In the past, Chinese people drank tea not merely to quench their thirst. Each tea session — warming the pot, rinsing the cups, placing the tea leaves, and brewing — could take several hours. Within the small space of the tea table lay a world that seemed to exist outside of time, offering the heart a place to rest, to cleanse itself of worries and ignorance.

After experiencing so much noise and disturbance, we are no longer chasing desires at this very moment, but seeking a tranquil state of mind — a space of emptiness that allows us to focus wholeheartedly on one thing.

Thus, perfumer David Huang was invited to create “Empty Realm Tea Ritual” — a scent that is calm and lucid. Wearing it feels like being immersed in a tea ceremony: holding one’s breath, focusing the mind, letting the tea essence seep through the body — perhaps even tasting the serene delight of “Go, have tea.”

Top Notes: Bergamot, Sage, Green

Middle Notes: Mate, Sri Lankan Tea, Jasmine, Rose

Base Notes: Amber, Musk
